In recent days the area has developed a reputation for style and variation with an eclectic blend of celebrities, artists and international bankers making up the inhabitants of some of the finest properties in London.

FACT: Two centuries ago, Notting Hill used to be a slum known as ‘Potteries and Piggeries’ because of its pottery production and the fact that pigs outnumbered the humans.
