Forget Covent Garden, Harrods Is Where It’s at For Apple

From Gizmodo:

Apple recently opened its largest UK store in fancy Covent Garden, but that’s just not prestigious enough it seems. Cupertino’s gone and inked a deal to open up an Apple store in one of the most prestigious department stores in the world, Harrods, in London’s Knightsbridge.

The store will feature most of the usual Apple paraphernalia – plain wooden tables, Perspex stands and people in blue T-shirts, which sounds like it might clash with the wood panelling, marble and giant-bloody-Princess-Diana memorial just a tad. In fact, the only thing Apple Store Harrods will lack is a Genius Bar. Whether that’s the most crucial element, I don’t know, but at least there won’t be hoards of rich Apple owners screaming, “it doesn’t work, fix it!” all over the place.
