Bective Leslie Marsh announces support for Brook Green Association

The Central London independent estate agent, Bective Leslie Marsh, announces its sponsorship of the Brook Green Association’s new Community Prize.

The Brook Green Association is offering an annual prize of £1000, which will be topped up by Bective Leslie Marsh’s Brook Green office. The prize will be awarded to any local school, voluntary organization, youth group or church group that carries out a new initiative making a positive environmental or social contribution to the Brook Green area by July 2008. John Higgins, who manages the Community Prize for the Association says, “This could be anything from the regeneration of a derelict garden, the organising of a local art exhibition or creating a five-a-side football league. We are asking local organizations to feel free to explore any relevant avenue and to make allowances for imagination.”

In congratulating the Brook Green Association on the new Community Prize, Bective Leslie Marsh’s Managing Director, Peter Rickenberg, said, “We’ve had a strong presence in Brook Green for many decades and have come to know many local residents who support the Brook Green Association and their wonderful activities. We are delighted to build on this support through this exciting new initiative.”

The Brook Green Association is a charitable, non-political organization aiming to preserve and enhance the character of the area while fostering a sense of community among residents. Bective Leslie Marsh has six offices in Central and West London for sales and lettings including 59 Blythe Road where Justin Knight and his Sales and Lettings team are on 0207 603 5181.

The selection of the first winner will take place in October 2008.

The Independent Schools Show

On the 2nd and 3rd November 2007 seventy of the country’s leading private schools will be exhibiting under one roof in Battersea Park. The Independent Schools Show is the first step for parents contemplating private education for their offspring from nurseries through to 6th Form tutorials. It is the first exhibition this millennium to address the problems parents face when choosing a school. London or country? Day or boarding? International Baccalaureate or A Levels? These are just a few of the concerns parents may need to address. An Education Theatre with respected speakers such as Professor Chris Woodhead and Stowe’s Headmaster Dr Anthony Wallersteiner, will prove an invaluable resource and exciting debating forum for the inquisitive parent. A crèche and organized activities for children will give parents the freedom to browse whilst children are entertained.

Bective Leslie Marsh are very pleased to announce their sponsorship along with private bank Coutts & Co and The Daily Telegraph of The Next Step Independent Schools Show. Peter Rickenberg, Managing Director of Bective Leslie Marsh, says "The choice of school is a key driver for decisions made by home-owners about a family property. The Independent Schools Show is the perfect opportunity for face-to-face discussions on both of these important topics." This intrinsically linked relationship is why the Bective Leslie Marsh feel that this is such an exciting event to support. For more information visit www.schoolsshow.co.uk.

This high profile event took place in order to raise funds for the Neuroblastoma Society and in memory of Stuart’s son Felix who lost his battle against the disease last year aged 6. The starting point was the Guildhall in EC2 and there was a massive turn out to wish the team well.
