WLAC Bridge Evening

As the official sponsors for all of the West London Action for Children (WLAC) events for the year. Bective Leslie Marsh were very happy to be involved with a bridge evening which was held in aid of the charity and raised over £2000. We were able to provide Bective Leslie Marsh playing cards for the event as well as the drinks and invitations for the evening. Good fun was had by all involved and well done to all players who participated!

WLAC Neighborhood Nosh

Drinks at No. 4, Starters at No. 16, Dinner at No. 56… Come and meet and eat with your neighbours! The WLAC neighborhood nosh which involved 120 members of the Brook Green community coming together for a neighborhood supper moving around the houses for the various courses was a fantastic opportunity for good food and wine and meeting more members of the local community. London can be a very anonymous place at times and it is events such as these which give the area a more ‘villagy’ feel and raises money for charity.

The Neuroblastoma Society

The Neuroblastoma Society is a charity very close to the heart of Bective Leslie Marsh. In 2006, Stuart Mason (Ladbroke Grove office) drove a scooter from London to Monte Carlo in memory of his son Felix who lost the battle to the disease in 2005, aged 6, and to raise awareness and funds for the charity. Neuroblastoma is a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. About 100 children in the UK are diagnosed each year. The Society works exclusively for these children in raising funds for British research into the disease, and offering information and support for anyone affected by Neuroblastoma.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is a favourite charity of Bective Leslie Marsh not least because of their almost instantaneous impact on society. Mark Chick (Notting Hill office) donated some old clothes one morning, then later in the day was walking down Portobello Road and saw someone wearing his jumper! The Salvation Army is one of the largest, most diverse providers of social services in the UK after the Government. Founded in East London in 1865, they are now working in 111 countries worldwide.
